last night was the first night for Undercurrent event that features art installations and exhibits including one designed by the one and only MIGUEL
I stopped by today and omg let me j tell you absolutely zero bias here but Miguel’s was the best one
Miguel’s exhibit revolved around reef revival for Ocean Conservancy
Miguel created the music for his installations and let me j say it was extremely obvious this sound came from Miguel and yes it was perfect it donned the installations to a T
when I first arrived, Miguel’s installation was experiencing technical difficulties but I had to continue on w the event but I made sure to keep going upstairs to check if it was back up and running at least 3 times and then when I was all done with the event I immediately ran back upstairs and spent another half hour in the room alone experiencing Miguel’s work of art
you stand underneath one of the lamps on one of the circles on the floor and your body heat is detected and powers the coral reefs to gain color
the more body heat you give off, the brighter the colors turned
let me j say I give this experience a 50 out of 10 because I went the day after it opened which was a Friday and I went for the first session of the day which was 2:00PM and nobody was there and I know if I had gone Thursday night when it first opened it would’ve been flooded with journalists and I wouldn’t have had an intimate experience w this for so long. Also had I gone later on Friday evening it would’ve been crowded and going on the weekend was not an option because it would’ve been packed
